The first race of the season is almost here, I get to sleep one more time. Well, maybe twice depending on if I get in a nap this after noon 🙂 The Tobacco Road Marathon is a great local Race here in the Triangle (NC). The American Tobacco Trail, where most of the race will be, is a Wake County park that offers plenty of running/walking/biking miles on mostly flat surface.

The weather forecast predicts perfect running conditions with temps in the 40s and 50s.

Since last years racing season ended relatively early fro me, with the HIM in Augusta in September, I was able to rest and start training again in November. The past couple of months were focussed on a solid running base for the season, with the highlight of the Marathon tomorrow. I am looking forward to a great event! Lots of friends will be racing or cheering us on.

Good luck to everyone racing tomorrow at one of the many long distance running events in the southeast.
